There has been much misinformation about the people of Saudi Arabia in Western media; some may be due to Islamophobia, but some come from the difficulty in getting an accurate picture of the Kingdom's diversity from the outside. In the religion of Islam after declaring the shahadah, the second most important pillar is the Salaah (prayer). Whenever the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray, He used to raise both his hands up to his ears or shoulders during the first takbeer, before ruku’ and after ruku, as is proven from the Mutawaatir ahadith.
